Construction Impact FAQ's:

Q: I usually walk to class from the north side of Colorado St. to the CUB elevator tower by walking through the alleyway between Hollingbery Annex and Bohler Gymnasium, then between Martin and Rogers Fields. Will this pathway remain open? If not, how will I get to class and back? Will the temporary pedestrian pathway between Colorado St. and the CUB elevator tower be handicapped-accessible?
A: To ensure the safety of campus pedestrians, its of paramount importance that pedestrians and vehicular traffic at the construction zone are kept completely separate. During construction, pedestrians will walk from Colorado Street between Bohler Gym and the PE Building to a temporary fenced pathway through the middle of Rogers Field, then east to the CUB elevator tower. The accessible route will access the walkway south of Bohler and PE Building via Bohler (or PE Building), using an elevator to Level 1, then taking the bridge to the walkway. An accessible path mat will be laid over the Rogers Field turf and maintained, including snow removal.
Q: Will I be able to get into and out of Bohler Gym on the east side of the building?
A: No. Construction activities in the alleyway between Bohler Gym and Hollingbery Fieldhouse will prohibit pedestrian access. Emergency exits from the east side of Bohler will be maintained, but will be used for emergency egress only. Alarms will sound if these exist are used.

Q: Will the athletics, academic and student recreation programs be able to use the Rogers and Martin play fields while construction is going on?
A: Yes. Martin Stadium and the west half of Rogers Field will be available for normal play and practice use.
